Childhood's DemiseA Poem by Sweet EmotionsWritten when I was 14 or 15.
Do we live in a planet or a machine?
The word is contained inside a screen. No one can keep a secret because everything is online, Friendship has been redefined. But can you count your friends By the information that you send? How did we end up like this, All our personal information in an online abyss. Does anyone remember what preexists The world of video chats, Fail Blog and LOL cats? Do you remember when outer space Was more interesting than Facebook and Myspace? Children ran home to play Outside with their neighbors all day. Now they sit in front of the computer, Eyes glazed over in a hypnotized stupor. Can we go back to the fun of the past, Save their minds, make childhood last? © 2011 Sweet EmotionsReviews
