My Mistake

On losing a friend over just a few words, "Your new girlfriend is a w***e."

Who’s to blame this rainy summer day?
Whose fault is it that everyone blames each other?
You blame me while he blames us while she blames her.
I’m just confused,
And you won’t even listen.
I can’t apologize if you won’t answer the phone
Can’t make things right if you keep doing things wrong.
I made mistakes but you disrespected me,
I shouldn’t have said it but you cared too much.
Now we fight once again over my mistakes
Will it ever end because
A week ago you were my best friend
Almost my brother.
Now you’re my nothing,
A weight pulling me down.
A force acting against me to destroy what we had
The feelings of protection gone
Friendship thrown away
For my stupid mistake.
