Mr. PresidentA Poem by Sweet EmotionsJust some thoughts on pointless wars.Mr. President, How many of our sons and daughters died today for your “war on terror”? Don’t you know he terror isn’t over there? It’s in our midst. Land of the free? Home of the brave? I don’t think so. Not when our freedom costs so much Is a life saved worth the thousands lost? Is proving your power worth all this? I don’t think so. The weapons of mass destruction aren’t in Iraq or Iran or f*****g Afghanistan. The weapons of mass destruction are in our hearts. Seeds planted by skewed laws and paranoia. Mr. President, It wasn’t your daughter killed or your cousin deployed and you won’t wake up next to someone screaming with PTSD induced night terrors. And you still think the terrorists aren’t among us? I don’t think so.© 2013 Sweet EmotionsReviews
