DandelionA Poem by Sweet EmotionsInspired by a book I read about gangs.
Raindrops glistening in the early morning sun
tears washed away any sign of the previous night No one to claim the body No one but ghosts to hear the empty shell fall soul lost to the streets Only the dandelions growing in the cracks of the sidewalk keep the lost child company while the body once so innocent waits to be found by something other than the life that destroyed her No one cared about her story The dirty streets looked so appealing The lure of freedom disguised the blood underneath the unwanted flowers that looked so pretty on the sidewalk in the early morning sun
