Practical Parent

Practical Parent

A Poem by sweetdreamz512
"

The art and nature of growing and learning through experiences of difficulty.

"

Your preoccupation is but a dream

A child and their toy

You lie somewhere in between

A scripture of broken lyrics

A note to a kid from their parent

Lacks control of a situation

Substantial and apparent

Sleep not forever and forgive

A nonsensical obedient

For their misled interpretation

Careful in the bidding

You stem from the beak of a parrot

Words of rhythmic resolution

You play the victim of a burden

Apprehensive and unfolding

Minds of rapture and pollution

Cradled by a soothing current

Accepting and saluting

For love we have not forgotten

Peril and un-witted

Heart of youth

We are bidding
