Taunted Chaotic Affliction

Taunted Chaotic Affliction

A Poem by sweetdreamz512

Another metaphor style; capturing the comparison of beauty and pain as one.

"

I should have learned to stay away

Delicate hands held in a delicate way

A butterfly saw flying away

Now a lifeless drill

Disregarded the dangerous

I sense what I ignored

Preoccupied with perplexity

She reaches out her hand to me

I should have known to stay away

I should have sensed the dangerous

Tone and impulse of her questions

I should have stayed protected

Somewhere along the way

A poison stung her wing

Somewhere before meeting me

She was branded and tainted

A delicate heart held out

The burning ring of desire

The tinting flame of curious

Reaching out to grab her

Little did I know of touch?

My hand was that of death

As far as I was concerned

I wanted only a pretty friend

Selfish was I to expect more than a view

Visual acceptance

Petty few

I know next time to shy away

From something of such beauty

A passionate expression

Now lays lifeless and empty
