You And I

You And I

A Poem by Suzy Q
"

About a daughter, who's mother won't accept that she's not a child anymore.

"

 I talk to you

You scream at me

I listen to you

You turn your back to me

I stay in your way

You stand in mine

I can't do it by myself

You think I want to do it by myself

I cry in my room

You sleep at night

I have my break downs

You break me down

I can't stay her anymore

You don't know that

I'm sorry

You could care less

Your heart spoke loud and clear and I felt the pain. Remember there is always tomorrow but time is not always on our side, it runs out. Look for the good and pray about the balance. Very well written!

This was me and my mother in a nut shell ten years ago and now she's my best friend. Who would have ever thought. Great piece thanks for sharing.

Sounds like most teen daughter/mother relationships. I had a similar one with my mother.

My girls and I broke the chain. We never fight, they don't yell at me, and I treat them with respect.

I like how you made the mother lines look different than the daughter lines.
