Alone

Alone

A Poem by Katrina Abdul-Mateen

Alone
Alone
No place to call home
Inner soul free to roam
Fight
Fight to the bitter end
No one with spirit to lend
At some times choices are wrong
but Hey I'm grown so I got to stand strong
Hold on
Hold on because GOD's on the way
He'll brighten the day,
make all the gloom wash away
It's GOD's will
for me to be still
and feel
Patience is a virtue, He won't let me down
So I hold my head high and try to hang around
For the GLORY in the end
Yes the GLORY in the end
But I can't comprehend
Is my path to teach or learn
Paradise or burn?
Foe or Friend?

Excellent writing, full of meaning. Great rhymes, too.
