I'LL NEVER BELIEVE YOU'RE GONE

I'LL NEVER BELIEVE YOU'RE GONE

A Poem by MadamPleasure

Rain streams the windows

Like the tears upon my face

Clouds dark as my shadow

Hide the sun's warm embrace

The silence that swallows my mind

Leaves me to wonder what I left behind

Your photograph sits on my shelf

And I'm left to comfort myself

The room rests so silent

It's vacant of your presence

You left me so long ago

And you left me all alone

Sometimes a warmth surrounds me

And I know you're here with me

I feel you grasp my hand

You know I'll never understand

Why you left I'll never know

To understand that I'm alone

Though there are others with me

I still feel broken and empty

I know you wanted nothing more

Than to be with me

I was and always will be yours

Forever and eternity

Your love left an empty hole inside of me

Now I'm left to try to believe

You still love me, though you're gone

I love you, and this is for you grandad.
