Peshawar

A Poem by Rachelle
"

Prayers for peace, resolution and forgiveness.

"
not just statistics in the news
not just offspring of those with opposite views
religious? political? at what cost?
what kind of future have we lost?
the slaying of innocents a cowardly choice
when there exist peaceful ways to proclaim your voice.
each a life precious with destiny to fulfill
not anyone's to take by force nor by will.
when anger reigns and takes justice by hand
when seething vengeance is all we understand
an endless tornado to which evil dwells upon
the hopeless cycle spins - raging on and on.
when violence is the solution you succumb
the change you seek will never come.

Rabid dogs on prowl will bite everyone in sight. Only thing which make them powerful is the people who do not raise the voice against them.

Religion is just a mask but that won't last for long.
Sad, really really sad. Is this how religion is saved, is this how superiority shown. A sad day for everyone on earth.

How does one win hearts to a cause? Certainly not this way. The seed sown was never about religion.
So well spoken. Well done

your welcome rachelle :) u are a great poet :)
It is truly a crime against humanity. My heart bleeds for each of them and their families. This falls way beyond the boundaries of politics or religion. It is a testament to the basest of all acts perpetrated by men who want to make a statement and spread fear. Suffer the little children...always suffer the little children.

It is always the most in innocent and vulnerable who suffer.
Cowardly acts from crazy and mad people who prey on the innocent. There is no justification whatsoever for terrorism. An excellent tribute to the children...:)............

What was lost we shall never know who they could of been and what they could of done. A sad day for our world. I hope we wake-up and not accept violence and murder. A powerful poem. Whole world hold sadness for the poor people lost and their families.

I do not know how they twisted faith into something so warped and inhumane.

I don't understand either, other than trying to find an excuse for their behavior.
My heart goes out to all of those killed :(
You have said the causes, effects and solutions of terrorism with a powerful impact. This is the best work on this burning issue, I have read until now.
