Its an eye popping remark here...it's all in the lines...but as for those that do this...it's going to happen...happens more than we would want to acknowledge its existence...yet you do put forth a convincing statement...at least...as you say give credit where credit is due...
Always rings a bell to me, good friend. True in every sense of the words and verses you conveyed here... For me I don't know what would I feel if someone stole a piece of my heart, it must be shuttering to think about it, frightening think as well... but then life in the internet is also a harsh place, no matter how we look at it, there will always be someone who would just steal our property. In this vast ocean of information there will always be a thief nearby. We might not know, our works is already published elsewhere without our knowledge with a different pen name... the possibility might be unlikely but it is not impossible to happen...
In Deviantart, I used to create brushes, even though just the simple ones atleast I could supply other digital artist an additional help in their master piece. One time I search the google, and found out that one of my brushes was featured in this sharing website, even though how simple and abstract my brushes are, they still share it to many, expanding into a bigger scale website and they never forget to credit its owner. As the creator it is nice to know that you can help them and credit you in the process… Photo manipulators always credits their models and brushes…
Also there is this one time an artist pays tribute to me and many artist because she was inspired by me and other artist. So she put up a youtube video showcasing our works… It was nice and inspiring to know that you are someone source of inspiration. Giving credit to your talent, even though I don’t have much confidence in that matter…
All in all, I guess, when you don’t acknowledge the source, as I think, how would you grow as your own, or how would you grow as an artist yourself that all you do is just a mirror of someone else creativity, I mean owning some things that isn’t yours alone…
This piece is a great reminder to all of us, my good friend and kababayan…

Nagsettlement na lang. Pero the danger is out there. Wala nang ethics ang tao ngayon. Kung meron kakaunti lang. That or plain ignorance but ignorance does not justify one from breaking the law.

I had one of my "Desires" poems plagiarized by a scumbag right here calling himself: Blueheeler, he posted it here and other poetry sites. he closed blueheeler but is still here under a different name...
When it comes to art that I may use to compliment my poetry, I always give credit for the work if it is available.
I wrote a poem about this also called: The Plagiarist.
your poem is incredible.

My publisher, who is also a lawyer, is rather aggressive and pursued the offending party but it was easy for us because the proof was on paper. Perhaps we should establish some sort of intellectual property group within WC to protect ourselves? At any rate, I don't put my good stuff up online.
Powerful and so cerebral... I really enjoyed this write. Can't say I understand the mind of a person who would do such a thing. We all hope not to have our art stolen from us in such a manner.
I Have been asked if my images and photos can be used, and I thanked them. I like your thoughts on this subject.

I use images I copy and paste from the Internet to illustrate my writing. I hope I'm not plagarizing. I never thought of it before.

Wow this is the best poem I've read on plagiarizing , I can see you're passionate about it, who stole your work? It's reach dips into every aspect of life. I have a huge problem with it too, there was a young girl here, still is actually, who's entire library was stolen works....why even bother, good one sweetbind!

Possibly because they think I don't have legal backing...
Ethics should define us and our relationship with others. Give credit where credit is due and say where your inspiration come from if you have been inspired . Now plagiarising is a crime and perpetrators should be exposed...A powerful message here...Bravo..................
