You Can't Change Me

You can't tell me what to do...

You can't tell me what kind of person I

should be...

You don't know me...

You don't understand me...

You don't know how I feel.

You don't know how hurt I am...

You don't respect me..

You treat me like garbage...

You make my soul dead inside of me...

You make me feel worthless...

You make me not feel good about myself...

You make me feel hopeless...

You make me feel like I should die...

You make my heart break...

You can't fix me..

You can't tell me to get over it...

because I can't.

You can't be there for me.

You can't help me...

You make me feel angry...

You make me upset...

You make me cry at night...

You make me scared...

You make me want to run away..

You make me feel like a horrible

person..

You make me not want to be with

you.

You can't be my friend..

You can't be nice to me..

You can't hug me to make me feel

better...

You can't tell me its gonna be okay.

You can't tell me to get help...

You can't imagine how hurt I am..

You can't make me smile no more..

You can't tell me I am not good

enough.

You can't drag me down with you.

You can't and you WON'T change me!!!

If I want to change something,

and if it has to be you that has to

go then so be it!!

I deserve someone that will be supportive,

have fun with, not to make me feel like

a low life person that should commit

suicide...

The world is cruel enough...And I

want someone to be there when I fall,

to pick me up and say let's try this

again.

Depression is a battle everyday and I

need someone to make my life and days

better!!!

I am a human being too, I should

be treated like one!

Having depression is the pits. Being with someone who makes you feel this negative about yourself is a disaster. You need to turn some of those negatives into positives. I am assuming that this is about you and not a fictional write. After reading your poem, I felt anger towards the person who is doing this to you. Yes it generated some anger. Is that what you intended?
