Oblivion

Oblivion

A Poem by bob

dead leaves fall to the hard ground,

scattered everywhere leaving it difficult to think,

these dead leaves blanket the earth,

they soar off into the sky and slowly ease their way back down,

as they soar off in to the sky my mind starts to follow,

hovering above,

watching all the others,

then the leaves start to ease their way down, and so do I.

In the middle of all these perished leaves lies a flower,

pocket-sized, past ones prime, and flimsy...

but it's warmth draws me in and captures my frail body,

as I sit here watching the flower,

one of the the petals slips off and away,

and I follow it into oblivion.

Whee, the windy feeling got me through. A wonderful poem..maybe about a time of year, maybe - about letting it all go with the flow ..thank you for this!
