A Poem by swati

The cold shiver

Of inconsiderate wind

Makes a fragile autumn leaf fall

From its mother tree

It floats in the air

Elegantly

Oblivious to the knowledge

That this is its last display

Of being

Landing on the ground

Gently

A blind passer-by

Crushes its frail body

In its blind haste

Ito irreconcilable pieces

And in its place

A leaf will radiate

Spring beauty

Once again

Oblivious to the futility

Of the black-humoured

Cycle of existence

Profound.

I like how you use the life of the leaf to depict the ' the black-humoured cycle of existence' that all of us are a part of...but somehow never think too much about it except for moments of birth and death...

Excellent piece.
