Goodbye

When we said goodbye

I started to cry

I felt like no one

Could hear me.

My heart is empty

Hurting deep inside

A tear rolls down my face

The pain I try to hide.

 

Then I hear a voice

So soft and sweet

I know you’re here with me

I will be strong, your pain is gone.

 

You may be far away

In spirit you are here

The love inside my heart

Tells me you are near.

 

The one I love so much

Is up in heaven now

I try to let go

Not knowing how.
