Dreams Come True

Dreams Come True

A Poem by Sarah Wlochal

I’m barely hanging on
Fighting to be strong
Going to erase the black and white
Painting colors in the sky.

I’m a butterfly
Coming out into the light
I woke up with hope
Ready to fly.

Nothing can hold me back
Even the string to which I was attached
I’m going to break away
It’s not easy but it’s worth it.

A dreamer all my life
I’ve been misunderstood
Always looking for the right path
I hid from the world.

I’m pushing through
Making my dreams come true
People are always going to hurt me
They can’t keep me down

When I get pushed around
I will stand my ground
I’m going to be myself
My identity soon to be found.

This was great and so inspiring. I really enjoyed it and I loved the part about the butterfly ready to fly. Keep up the good work.
