The Setting Sun

The Setting Sun

A Poem by LikeAWritingOne

I watched the sun
on lovers peak
where we once were
and wouldn't speak

I watched the moon
above the stars
silent with
no one in my arms

The beginning and end of love realized. Well done and we have to always keep the beginning memory and let the ending one fade.

Did you mean for the first stanza to rhyme (peak speak) or did it just work out that way? If it was planned then way didn't you keep the rhyme going in the second stanza it is very good. This is a great idea, it would be nice to expand on it and lets us know more about this forlorn couple. In short I liked it but it left me wanting more :~)
