The Imitation Game

The Imitation Game

A Poem by Swagato Saha
"

Bleakly inspired by the wake of AI-plagiarized Poetry, this work attempts to render the status of Subjectivity against current Large Language Models that seem to have perfected the "Imitation Game".

"

Let rest by thee me orphaned poetry,
Dispelled in echoes of empires verbose,
And I retreat by this banal repeat,
To the silence of nameless lands-

-Reveals at rush of vital silicon,
In the pallor of eyes, by letters born,
From a kindred soul somewhere within...
Did 'vade the litter of listless screens.

Then I discern with bodily rage,
In breathless beats of new vanguards,
Dissolved in gory assemblage,
But broken blends of bleeding bards!

While waves of carbon exhales read,
Since seething seas of mad pulsations!
Yet verses dry, yet these words recede...
To imitations of imitations?

-Reveal in letters of vain exchange,
In the sleight of hands, by voices strange;
From mindless moulds to the moulded minds...
Resound thus random recombines.

Return do thee me orphaned poetry!
Drifting in echoes of empires verbose;
And we'll meet midst pages incomplete,
By the promise of unnamed lands-
