Bridge over the River Cooum

Bridge over the River Cooum

A Poem by Srinivas
"

Poem written inspired by a neighborhood scene around dusk

"

Hushed tones

herald the night.

Blackened

river seeps thro’

city; rundown

church sits on

its banks. Neon

star-shaped Cross

reflect blue and red

colours on the murky

waters. Bridge bears

burdens quietly.
