Flicker FilmA Poem by Susan MichelleI wrote this as I was staring out of a classroom window. My history teacher was incredibly dull, but I used it to my advantage. The light distracts,
dancing Jumps the bars that guard the silver window panes Each color dances in different dimensions on my palms as I stretch my hands to catch the beams of light I am absent-minded, though never free of thought Or plans Or ideas Time passes as it stands still, like a flicker film Playing in still-frame, a dull light projects and catches each memory Keep them in a box with no bottom so I can only watch once
