7. Sarah’s Mom

BEEP, BEEP, BEEP... What was that? I looked up at the monitor, her heartbeat was going down, oh no no no, “DOCTOR, SOMEONE PLEASE HELP MY DAUGHTER! HER HEART! ITS GOING DOWN!” A whole staff came rushing in, they all worked so fast, I didn’t know what was going on. “Ready, one, two, three” As they pressed the metals against her chest, the shocks were released. Her heart still seemed to have slowed. “Again.” They pressed down and released another shock. Her heart rate started to slowly go up. “One more time!” As they pressed down and released the shock, her whole body took a deep breath. I tried so bad not to get excited, but I couldn’t resist. She was breathing, but she was still asleep.
