Linguine's Life: A Dog Blog - 31/12/2024A Story by suuyuwriteyunu
I had help with Linguine this morning! I felt a lot safer with my sister there with me to meet Linguine, and she explained to me that the play-biting is because Linguine is just a little puppy and nothing more. He doesn't hate me and he isn't cranky because he's hungry. She explained that he couldn't be that hungry and it's just that he's a puppy and he's excited to see us. Her calm, positive attitude also helped a lot. I'm usually the positive one, but definitely not when it comes to raising a puppy.
I didn't do much with Linguine today except for our usual morning activities. Me and my sister took him out for a walk, and we tried the new slip leash that came the other day. It was quite the struggle trying to get it on his head because he kept playing and biting it. He literally bit it and shook it while I was holding the other end, as if we were playing with a toy, which was kind of funny. When we went out on the walk, he found some of the remains of that bird he tore apart two days ago and started chewing on it. It's funny how he can always come back to the same 'food' no matter how ripped apart it is. Also, I've noticed that everytime Linguine has to pee, he always goes to this one specific spot in my garden. Same goes for him pooping. It's always that small spot behind the tiny tree next to the main gate. It's like he's plotting to welcome anyone who comes into my house with his god-smelling excrements. Very welcoming. Hehe. We did more training today and my sister and I wanted to try leash training for a change. After trying more spins, touches, and comes, we put him back on the leash and at first he was kind of confused and kept running off, but eventually we got him to go two rounds but he totally got sick of it so we just stopped there for the day. After that we put his food in the cave because we had to go to Grandma's to eat this vegetable thing we promised we'd do last night. We had a laugh talking about it last night because it was kind of funny how we promised to go just to eat something, especially this normal vegetable thingy. After that, of course, I went out to eat with my family and then went on the date with my mum. I managed to write around 954 words on one of my projects during the car ride to the mall, which was so good. I got out of my writer's-ish block and I managed to write even more when I got home. I'm starting to feel like this blog is turning more of a 'my life' blog than a Dog Blog, but nothing really happened today anyway, so I honestly don't know what to write about. Oh well, it's the new years! Almost 12:00!!!! Happy early new year everyone! Including Linguine! I'm sure he's used to the fireworks by now. Our neighbours have been very interested in testing them out these past few days. Yeah, I really don't know what else to say. I just know that I don't feel anything so fiercely as I did before now, but at least my cold's gone and so is my anxiety. I feel a lot better now, and it's only occured to me that the year is actually ending. I feel like tomorrow won't be any different from today but it'd still make all the difference. I'm glad I ended the year with a mother-daughter date, though. We don't get to do those often and this one was more perfect than it could've ever been. I hope it stays peaceful for a while longer because I can't have school work rolling in and disrupting my peace all over again. Oh I feel so bitter. Maybe it's because I'm so tired. I'm going to listen to the audio book I've been dying for so yay! I don't think I feel so good. - Rika, 31/12/2024, 22:18
