Changing Perception into Reality

Something I wrote last night.

I'm up at twelve tonight,

Just for time to write,

So much in my head,

So much left unsaid

Writing can help your pain,

But what can you gain,

When what you think, 

Is not what you speak

Sometimes I question my mind,

Of what I should let be unconfined,

But how can one grow self confident, 

When they always feel incompetent

About events and daily activities,

Doubting the extent of their own abilities,

Makes one that much more insecure,

Until they turn into their own prisoner

For when your thoughts and actions,

Continuously get you bad reactions,

Multiplying your anguish and strife,

It's time to change perception and

 make it the reality of your life

I, also, love your poetry, the smooth, concise, and intelligent manner in which your poetic voice speaks.
Quatrains are among my favorite form to compose in, and despite the unevenness of your lines, they flow nicely into enjambments and ending rhymes.
Your ways of expression and writing style is quickly turning me into a fan … I hope you don't mind.
I, too, enjoy writing at night, when all around is quiet, allowing a natural, uninterrupted flow from heart, to mind, to page.

Thank you so much for such a thoughtful review Richard! I normally do not add images, but your review yesterday made me think to, so I thought I'd give it a try. Quatrains are mine as well, but yes I sometimes have trouble simplifying my lines to make it flow better for readers. I do not mind at all though. :) If you ever have any extra time, you can go to my profile, and read much more of my writing on here, for I am not new, I just have not had the time to be on here as much I'd like too.
