You abused my stupid heart,
While you slowly tore us apart,
Having no idea what our love was turning out to be,
As you continued to keep tearing into me
You always wanted to pick a fight,
Not giving a care if it was turning twilight,
You would find something to say,
If it wasn't turning out your way
But I'm glad you decided to go,
Just leaving me like a no show,
I tried everything I thought to do,
But in reality, I couldn't help you
That even though it broke my heart,
I know it's better now that we're apart.
This one is something many can related to, and for me, it's a reflection back to when the effort was put into something worth saving...Sadly, people lose that in time.
The line "But in reality, I couldn't help you" elevates the power amazingly, as, despite the destroyers acts, the victim sees on a deeper level through to the truth. Love it.
You abused my stupid heart,
While you slowly tore us apart,
Having no idea what our love was turning out to be,
As you continued to keep tearing at me
You always wanted to pick a fight,
Not giving a care if it was turning twilight,
You would find something to say,
If it wasn't turning out your way
But I'm glad you decided to go,
Just leaving me with a no show,
I tried everything I thought to do,
But in reality, I couldn't really help you
That even though it broke my heart,
I know it's better now that were apart.

Just a slight difference in there...but again it's a suggestion...as a reader the conflict nature speaks for itself in the lines...and any one who's been in a relationship can relate to this verse...
I love to write when I'm upset, it's my kinda therapy. I've always kinda wondered what people would think of my writing, but I've never really put it out there. I would like to become better with my w.. more..
