Starting to Sink

What we could've had,
I'll never really know,
Sometimes it makes me sad,
But I try not to let it show

I guess something got you thinking,
You should just let go of me,
Just let me start sinking,
No reason more to think about me

But now your trying to call,
And it's hurting me more,
Because I gave you my all,
But for so long was just ignored

That even though I'm feeling low,
My lesson has been learned,
That you never really know,
If your just going to be burned

Sometimes best to say thank you and leave me alone. I like the poem. I learn when someone wants a second chance. I run for the door. A very good poem. You made me think again. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

This poem is just so so so true and anyone who has ever had there heart broken will see that. I have been the person to ignore the call when all you want to do is hear that voice tell you it was all a mistake and I have been the person calling who realized everything to late. That rhyme was unintentional...but I really felt this poem and I love it.

I think this sums it up well but you shouldn't start something expecting to get burned, or it's doomed from the start. Keep one eye open though... :)
