Angel Of Dawn

Angel Of Dawn

A Poem by susmitadas

O' the angel of dawn! Hold my hand And as you rise, embrace my ailing heart To shield it from the grave sight of the well-lit moon melting into drops Of dew when the burning sun is born In the heart of the diseased sky That loses the beads of twinkling stars And adornment on the forehead of night's bride O' the angel of dawn! Embrace my eyes And as you rise, usher me to the world of trance Where there lies a million such beads On the forehead of the blooming sky Born out of the ashes of the gleaming sun When the twilight breaks the era of blinding morn Erase the dreams to awaken my soul When the angel of sundown is born
