Silent Night

Silent Night

A Poem by susmitadas

Rays of the morning sun begin to perish
When the dusky evening arrives everyday
Loneliness slowly crawls into my mind
As the dusk transforms into a dark night
Amidst the darkness, I find the bright moonlight
Which leaves my eyes and ailing heart mesmerized
For once I feel, let this beautiful night pause
As the light of the moon pierces through my gloom
A cool breeze flows through my hair
And sounds of deafening silence flutters in the air
I don't feel lonely anymore on a dark night
In the companionship of wind, silence and clear moonlight
