Reprieve was when my eyes beheld the clear moonlight And my dreams took a fearless and relentless flight To the world free of shackles of boredom and loneliness Where time was not a raging bull, but somehow worthless And I wished I were a bird, who could fly high in the sky Moreover, could breathe free as the time passed by But grass is always greener on the other side Where life was no less than a roller-coaster ride A priceless lesson was what I had learnt when I switched sides hoping for a blissful life then Despite the zillion falls, everytime I picked myself up Looked back, smiled and walked down the road so rough Will no more hope to be where I don’t belong For it might seduce me away in the world of wrong Life will always play its tricks not to defeat your existence But to make you strong and tenacious when you face countless hindrances Reprieve will now be when I master the art of living With peace and beatitude with every fellow being
Super. This poem is really positive. It covers life experience and innocence lost through life's-ups-and-downs beautifully, if that is a part of the meaning.

I like the poem. I understand the thoughts and the logic of the poem. We begin free of great burden. Getting older steal from hope and dreams.
"Reprieve will now be when I master the art of living
With peace and beatitude with every fellow being"
The above lines are true. When we know what we need and where we are going. We are okay. Thank you for the amazing poetry.
