Lazy Spring Day

Lazy Spring Day

A Poem by Susie Buckmiller

It is  a lazy spring day

and all is quiet as the clouds

begin to gather and time slowly passes.

Children are no longer playing outside

but are probably inside taking a nap

so they can run back outside later.

Even the birds seem to be singing softly

while the wind whistles through the trees

on this lazy spring day.

Traffic crawls slowly down the road.

No one seems to be in a hurry on

such a sweet lazy spring day.

Its one of those days that makes one

want to curl up with a good book and

just read the entire day away.

Such a pity that the silence will soon be broken

on a lazy spring day and the peace will be nomore.

Oh why can't this day last like this forever?

Such a shame that beautiful, tranquil days like that can't last forever. Excellent write.
