platonic Love

platonic Love

A Poem by Sushravya (Vidhisha)

platonic Love               (1)

Frozen.....

As kiss of clarity was far beyond the mist

And touch of dusk was all that had left;

There I was then walking into his eyes,

The second the grey tore the sunrise.

Lingering damp of crescent moon in the sky,

Lurks a nerve to depth infinite.

Symphony of night woven into his glides,

With beats astray, I flow with time ,

That arrest his nectarous scent.

Solitary he was, my  hamlet since decade undefined.

Before the window rails known,

A new dimension unfolds,

Built on his serene hum: a melancholy,

Given then was my quivering breath in loan.

My lanky tuft of black, tensed in a bun of susurrant secrets;

Embraced my shoulder, as his fingers danced it’s way.

Words string together near my ear, moulded

By his lips and given life by his breath said,

“Free your ringlets,

Let them play the harp,

Let the whispering be suppressed by air”.
