Why dost thou, PrincessA Poem by sushobhan
Mirth strewn in ambience, youth delight'd by blossom bloom,
But lock'd was a cavalier, in closet under gloom. Glancing at dualite, strolling outside fortress palatial, Droplets wett'd floor, melted from emotions too glacial. Hook'd were his eyes, reddish at princess and prince, Who cuddled precincts orchid, letting love evinced. "Why dost thou, got sway'd by gusts of power? Forsaking me down, lying gleefully in plutocrat's bower. 'Didn't I hail'd thy man?' To whom thee swore, 'Eternal exists our dote, a dote we wont forswore.' Cremat'd is thy oath, for thou propell'd to avert, Every breath now thee take, shall bring agony to exert."
