NIGHTMARE

NIGHTMARE

A Poem by sushobhan

Strolling across the dream akin to a pharaoh

I got an abrupt halt, across a barrow.

Swiveling my dark eyes to find the mankind shadow

What I got was mere, skulls crushed by arrows

Perched there, were carnivores with bruised rumps,

That horror landscape aroused my goose bumps

I could feel my heart working like a loose pump

Figuring it all to be reverie as I was booze dumped.

The graveyard apparition got my impulses buckled,

Encircling me, stood the phantom ruckle…..

The beasts gaping at me with their steel knuckles,

The time and adversities just seemed to chuckle….

Garnering my senses to flee, I got staggered,

Oozing from the demon mob, came a dagger.

But it turned out as bucket splash from a nagger,

None other than my brother who stood like a swagger……
