The new Moh-Maia...

The new Moh-Maia...

A Poem by sushi
"

In Punjabi Moh generally means love of and attachment to worldly things and relations. In Sikh Scripture, the term frequently occurs coupled with maya (maia) as Moh-Maia....

"
The sun has set for a walk,
The birds are singing their morning prayer,
The morning rays have turned to hot micro-wave,
The busy people around me keep running from here to there,
and then a silence, no shoes tapping, no one around,
the lights have gone dim,
there is a monitor blinking at my side and stars at far....

The little hands of the clock have run this fast
like the hands of mine over this new gadget,
NO HUNGER, NO THIRST, NO OTHER THOUGHT,
my Eyes are fixed to the new IPhone...

All say Apple helps to stay healthy,
but this APPLE keeps me hypnotized to it... Lol....

This made ma crack a smile. Very comical near the end and so true. When I first got my ipod touch I didn't put it down for a good week. Technology has us all hooked. Sad to think that were losing sight of the world though eh?

Humorous and yet, it holds truth into how easily we catch our eyes to the technology rather then fresh air at times. Nice one.
