Frozen Life-Stone

Frozen Life-Stone

A Poem by sushi

The trees have got their new coat,
the dull green has changed to peaceful white.

The boiling sun turned cool and quiet.
White snow everywhere,
hot coffee all people share,
joy, happiness and smile.

I pray these smile always prevail
but let the old sun come back
for this statue of stone
that's lifeless with frozen bones.

i dig this on so many levels. i lose myself in the snow, everything becomes pure, a blanket of beautiful cold. i'm a big man, i'm suited for the cold. i feel free in the winter, free to dream of the future and reminisce in the past....the last stanza calls out to me, "statue of stone"....the phrase embodies all of the feelings that have calcified that part of my heart that was consumed by them....

Great poem! Just a few small grammer problems though.

'quite' should be quiet
'show' should be snow (I think)

Othter than that, great job!
