Lucky Sunday

Lucky Sunday

A Poem by sushi

It was burning like fire few minutes back
Oh God!!! I swear i felt it.
Trust me,
the sun was shining like gold
burning things on its way
had i been out, would have roasted me to tan.

It's like he heard my wish!!!
It's not raining
It's not cloudy
nor its the boring sunny day anymore

I need not lock myself at home
Time for some hot tea at my garden
adding green touch to a drowsy lazy Sunday

Feeling lucky!!!
A silent wish heard....
Thank you :)

Reminds me of that childhood rhyme about rain, it pleads with the sun to come out and hover over to provide a carefree day just perfect for outside play. Although upon a second reading, I envisioned a cloud that drifted slowly to cover the sun eventually, satisfying your pleas for a perfect day undisturbed by the sun nor rain, nor too cloudy, as the sky is clear enough to allow the sun to shine in the day . . . Well done.

What a joyful, beautiful celebration of the day... the sun... the warmth... gardens and tea shared on a peaceful Sunday! How your words lift the soul... :)
