How we went invisible

How we went invisible

A Poem by sushi

I cross the empty lanes
with no intention to see you
I read those torn letters
with no faith on promises made
I blink my eyes
     with no tear of regret

The name,
that i called out at each sentence
now vanished like mist from glass
with no trace of its existence

We now cross each other
(being invisible to the eyes we resided)
having to never have known before
the pleasure of melting in warm hugs
    in a world of two
          uninterrupted by outsider

But i cant resist from finding your name
         besides mine
and read it along mine
(with expression of no difference)
as a name totally strange
         never heard before
    for, we are now strangers
from Time Travel
living in some day, we never met before

You've packed a lot of powerful imagery into these words...I love the vanishing mist from glass...the time travel idea was fascinating as well. There is no sadder feeling than the one that comes with pulling apart from someone you've been close to you whole life...awesome work :)

This is lovely, an incredible piece of intensity. It inspired me to write this tiny gift poem for you which you may keep as your own ;)

They t0ld me th@t t0 make her fall in l0ve
I had t0 make her laugh
But everytime she la@ghs
I'm the 0ne wh0 falls in l0ve again and again

why I'm so afaid t0 lose y0u
when you are not even mine
I don't understand how people approach their crush
When I don't even have the guts to ask for an extra ketchup at McDonalds

I really d0n't underst@nd this relationship
S0metimes we are friends
s0metimes we are m0re th@n that
and s0metime we are just str@ngers.

W@iting is a sign of true l0ve
Any0ne can propose y0u
but n0t everyone can wait and pr0ve it's true
And d0n't c0me 0ne more time infromt 0f me
0r I'll l0ve y0u again

You portray unrequited love in a poignantly tragic way and I feel for your speaker, who always attempts to muster up the courage to approach the lover yet cowering out when the chance arises. Yet, despite not having admitted the feelings, your speaker harbors within themself a passionate love that they feel and the acknowledgement that such an intense love should not be possible lest the two had loved each other in a previous life or perhaps in the future, where they would share a mutual love. I was moved by this, well done.

This is so sad yet so beautiful...there is an invisible glass wall now, where there once used to be twin hearts and entwined souls...
