The SummerlandsA Poem by Susanna FWritten 1994 - part of the evolution of The Hills Where I Go.No earthbound soul imagines The fair country where I go A hidden, secret valley Where are no tears or sorrow.
I am a raven on the wind A dark, lone bird, but free For where I go no hurt follows No shadow touches me.
A wanderer, I roam the hills Beyond beyond I fly Off to the land where adventures And purest beauty lie.
There from atop the greatest oak I watch my land grow real Strength flows from the living earth Deep within, my wounds heal.
I once again run through the grass Never will I tire The energy roars through my bones Like boundless white-hot fire.
I travel through the mountains 'round Majestic in their might I seek the unknown wonders there Reveling in my flight.
Beneath the forest canopy I'm hidden from the sun In this dark, ferny underworld, I can be found by none.
These fay-rings, caverns, cliffs and vales Are all in my dreams Where anything is possible And nothing's as it seems.
In this world of wonder We will never have to part So come with me my dearest one To this land of my heart. © 2012 Susanna FReviews
