I thought I was bad

I thought I was wrong

For wanting my freedom

For struggling so long.

 

I was told to be perfect

And not to give in

I thought I was wicked

Everything was a sin.

 

Now I understand

Why I felt so lost

You were wrong after all

I found out at great cost.

 

Your control is the evil

Abuse of the naive

I don't need to obey you

To show God I believe.

 

So f**k all you people

Who hold your noses high

You don't know it all

You're all versed in a lie.

 

I hope you learn the truth

And admit you weren't fair

But if you  choose to shun me

I really don't care.

the best attitude one can ever develop is this "if you chose to shun me, i really dont care"......... its the ultimate key to happiness and peace of mind......the best way to leave sham memories behind..... really loved the way this flowed and the emotions were very well knitted........i m kinda becoming yo fan......your every poem is emotionally very powerful and gives a gr8 pleasure to read them........ :) thanks for sharing these here....
