SalvationA Poem by Susanna FMy escape from Jehovah's WitnessesMasters, shepherds, watchers, guides The key to salvation you claim to hold Behind your eyes a serpent hides And your 'Truth' proves to be hard and cold.
I'm tired of your lying ways Deceived and blind you offer 'love' Groundless hope and faithless praise Then, when we fall, a heartless shove.
You held for us a torch too high An angry moon and far-off stars You forbid free thought and drown our cry In a sky of black, behind steel bars.
In your prison we long dwelt Content to suffer in His name But as you deal you shall be dealt Before His face the sheep you maim.
Salvation is your word for it We were butterflies with pinned wings But now we know it was all s**t Your judgement flames as freedom rings.
