Nocturne

Nocturne

A Poem by Susanna F

Nocturne falling, catching me

Upon a deep and gentle sea

Her voice is strong and soothes to sleep

So I give me over to her keep.

As tiny ones wing day's last flight

The scenery blends into white

The night-roamers emerge to run

Their games to play til dark is done.

One last tale before eyes close

A lullaby, a pretty prose

And then we slip into her hold

To dream until the dawning gold.
