The PlaceA Poem by Susanna FAge 16.Upon the sea of waking dreams I'm tossed from shore to shore My cries all fall upon deaf ears A single silent roar.
The yearning of the lonely ones Would break your heart in two The unheard screams of innocents Are not ignored by few.
But I know places, hidden, far Where you and I can go To find ourselves and flee this world Where hurt is all we know.
In forests deep I'll lead you To secret kingdoms fair Where dance the people of the wood Beside the dragon's lair.
I'll teach you every riddle And I'll teach you every rhyme I'll tell you every story In this place outside of time.
I'll take you to my castle vast With pennants in the sky Where kings and knights still rule the land And myths and legends lie.
But you will be the one to lead The people great and strong For all this I would give to you To you it should belong.
And I will never leave your side Together we'll explore In search of grand adventures there Beyond the secret door.
So take my hand, my dear one, And tell me what you will I'll show you what stories can do If you believe them still.
