My Sparkle

My Sparkle

A Poem by Susan 🦋
"

Sonnet

"

Quite suddenly, a twink'ling light appears;

perhaps, 'twas destined or mere happenstance.

Amazed, warmth's radiant glow slowly nears …

life's providence re-shapes my circumstance.

Embraced, love cradles this bedeviled soul

in blissful credence; peacefully, I rest.

Illuminating broken pieces whole,

upon a wonderlust, star-laden, quest.

What karma gifted now reflects within;

laced silhouette, with silken threads of gold.

Surrounding whosoever looks therein …

surreal, inspiring beauty ~ brave and bold.

Stars falling, fade upon first breath of day,

through grateful hands, my sparkle ~ slips away.

This was a magical, sparkly poem. It was absolutely dazzling and beautifully written. You wrote so well and passionately here and each word you used really emphasized the ‘sparkle’ and showed what you were all about. Judging by your writing you seem to be the kind of person who lights up the room. ‘Stars falling, fade upon first breath day.’ That’s definitely my favorite line. Sparkling and wonderful, thank you for sharing. (:

Thank you Kenzie for reading and for this lovely review!
You educated me with a couple of words in this poem of yours, thank you for that. I also really enjoyed the imagery and writing manner. Not all poems sound like poetry, but this is one of those that really do. tyfs

As Gene points out, you couldn't have picked a better image to harmonize with your words. This feels like a lullaby to read, reaching out & making friends with the stars (((HUGS)))

You are too sweet! Thank you for the review!! :))))
Aw Susan, pure poetry, which is actually hard to do.
Do the stars bring a loved one to us, well at least for a time.
Used to love looking at the stars, now no longer possible as they appear to have disappeared out of Britain.
Life and death brings the start to the new day, and forward we go as life is intended.
