My Sparkle

My Sparkle

A Poem by Susan 🦋
"

Sonnet

"

Quite suddenly, a twink'ling light appears;

perhaps, 'twas destined or mere happenstance.

Amazed, warmth's radiant glow slowly nears …

life's providence re-shapes my circumstance.

Embraced, love cradles this bedeviled soul

in blissful credence; peacefully, I rest.

Illuminating broken pieces whole,

upon a wonderlust, star-laden, quest.

What karma gifted now reflects within;

laced silhouette, with silken threads of gold.

Surrounding whosoever looks therein …

surreal, inspiring beauty ~ brave and bold.

Stars falling, fade upon first breath of day,

through grateful hands, my sparkle ~ slips away.

Thank you for taking the time to read! :-)
However you write, Susan, you make your words come alive, in this poem you really do have that special sparkle of someone who cares. I truly admire sonnet writers, who not only cover form but make the setting or letters come emotionally real, true, alive.

This is beautiful,

'What karma gifted now reflects within;
laced silhouette, with silken threads of gold.
Surrounding whosoever looks therein …
surreal, inspiring beauty ~ brave and bold.'

Your sparkle will never slip away. It will transform from one energy source into another. Perhaps, you will light up the whole universe.

Another wonderful sonnet of yours dear Susan.
I was swept away with your words.
And love the image you chose.
Just realized that I already read and reviewed your sonnet awhile back.
Wonderful to reread a year later!

Thank you again! 😊💐
Beautiful!! Please correct me if I'm wrong but I felt like you were writing about death. Silken threads of gold are in a death shroud. You're grateful for life as it slips away. You rest in blissful peace. If that is your subject I feel like this is the most beautiful poem I've read about death. Veiled opaque song about sudden demise yet acceptance welcomes the inevitable. Most excellent!
