'Tis Mother Nature's wondrous gifts bestow ...

exquisitely endowed, quaint butterflies.

Oh, gilded wings, spark meadowlands aglow;

young, carefree spirits dance 'pon crimson skies.

How daydreams welcome Summer's warm embrace,

as rosy cheeks gleam possibilities.

T'ward blissful freedom, young hearts lively chase ...

flop peacefully beneath majestic trees.

Past's yesterdays, true simple joys abound,

whence wee ones' yearnings soared beyond all height.

Now, laugh-some mem'ries; gaieties resound

in gentle waves, insisting ~ reunite!

Perhaps, in hushed, still wand'ring's, reminisce ...

of timeless pleasures ~ butterflies' sweet kiss.

You've given this sonnet butterfly wings! I'm not a big fan of the "Elizabethan sound" but you've made it feel as simple & straightforward as a butterfly's flight path, easy to follow!
