Lovers' TrilogyA Poem by Susan 🦋An English Sonnet-TripletAs teardrops stall, in harsh winds strewn, beneath dense, billowed fear hope soon evades. Grief’s surging rise deems moments opportune … what once was clear, so suddenly it fades. For, when did Luna cast her gaze away and dim each pathway’s deepest earthen void? Pray heaven intercedes, if led astray … reminding love and life was once enjoyed. How desperate all pleas so rendered mute retreat in shame's unknowing, false disguise. Thus, begs creation in sincere refute; forswear, shall witness souls’ harsh, cruel demise. Perhaps, hope’s last attempt will soon prevail ... enslaved esprit thrown to life’s blowing gale. Vast ocean tidings summon wafting dreams; below, mass seamounts bearing Neptune’s reign; pure, mystic creatures trailing golden streams enwrap fleet yearnings steadfast, e’er remain … toss shimmered wishlings 'mongst deep woodland’s rest. Quick, gathered nymphets passing hand to hand, soon grant shy bidding’s power they’ve expressed, whilst tender kisses set free soon expand. Bestowed, strength soaring t’ward soft hard-capped peaks implores all mighty heaven’s offerings, accepting guidance as days turn to weeks … triumphantly, love's blest assurance sings. Impassioned yearnings find their stepping stone, embarking boldly into the unknown. Now, dreams once stranded, willingly returned ... descend upon love’s sweet rekindled treks. Enlightened heart-songs praise, fear’s overturned, as doubts stay buried 'longside sailor wrecks. Oh, Kismet’s biddings echo in reply to every lesson gracefully endured, applaud brave fledging's willingness to fly ... wings broadened, finding peace in love procured. Till golden streams attract another's eye, a relit pathway ... his own teardrops stall. N'er question reasons nor dare ponder why, two longing spirits love’s embraced, do fall. Seems Karma planned the perfect course for me, should shadows lock down ... your love holds our key. © 2019 Susan 🦋Reviews
