The Slit Mouthed WomanA Poem by Annabel Lee-Based off of the movie Carved-
Am I pretty?
The words she speaks, So hauntingly. Am I pretty? No, you'll say, So truthfully. She will take you back to her lair, And all of a sudden, You're in her snare. Snip snip, Snip snip of the lips and a wide mouthed grin, Flesh cut to your ears dangling down to your chin. All in the name of vanity, She's just as pretty As any woman can be. Is she pretty? The words you think, So regretfully. Is she pretty? The words that sting, So truthfully. Snip snip of her shears and a barrel of tears, And all your worst fears have come to be. The stories are true and there's nothing to do, And you realise she's as pretty as you and me. Pretty in her eyes and pretty in her complexion, Ugly in the mouth and ugly in her actions. But they're just mistakes, just like you and me, And she's as pretty, As pretty as a woman can be.
