SunsetsA Poem by Annabel Lee
Trees reach up to the melting sky,
tugging the sun down with effortless stamina, As the warm shades of twilight give way to the mysterious evening. The world chills slowly, gently blowing a wind through the green grass. As the last colors end their descent, The first stars shoot their light through the summer air. And lying beneath this scenery, This rare beauty, I lie awake and marvel at how amazing it is. This one sliver of innocent wonder, enough to get one through this life, this one magical moment to remind you of the fact there is some good in this world. And this, this wonderful epiphany, is all we need. © 2010 Annabel Lee |
