Anger

Anger

A Poem by Annabel Lee
"

A poem I wrote about murder, and why people do it, despite logic.

"
Tidal waves of hatred crash through.
Your blood runs hot with the thrill of revenge, gleaming possibility.
Your eyes shine,
Much like that blade you're thumbing.
A last exclamation to those who wronged you,
a "SO THERE!" to the world.
But is it worth it,
my friend?
Is it really?
Your anger,
That brewing storm,
it wants to be let go.
Temptation of effortless violence beckons you from the horizon.
But is hat what its all about?
Just making everything even?
But my friend, can blood feel so good?
After all.....
You're simply getting your hands dirty.

Interesting take on the subject. Anger, murder, both are like love; each case has it's own story and reasoning.
