LiesA Poem by Annabel Lee
Lies.
Poison spewed from the mouth, Spilling then killing, all for the thrilling of the administrator. Souls shrivel at the realization, that the airy gossip once enjoyed had whipped its head around and bit them, Powerful jaws, closing in around the soul. And at this turn of the tide, the blood spills, an endless red sea encasing the pristine linoleum. The melody of lies, Scandalous and evil, Continues to flow in a breeze over the current of emotion and blood. The melody, Vicious and enticingly deadly, may never stop. Once the administrators perish, the poison will live vicariously in the next generation. So the beat goes on. © 2010 Annabel Lee |
