Daddy

Daddy

A Poem by Siren

It was harmless at the start,
Just someone to play the part
Of father and friend,
So she talked to him again.

It went on for weeks--
No valleys, all peaks--
A cute fun thing,
A careless little fling.

But then it got serious
And somewhat delirious
He touched her here
And pulled her near.

The struggle came fast;
Would it ever really last?
Was this someone she could trust
Or a man filled with lust?

Before long it got worse
And his existence she cursed.
She shut down in shock
As he harshly mocked.

There was nothing like the raping
An unwilling give while he was taking,
So she shut down entirely--
Suffering slow and silently.

Somehow she let it go on,
Four months it went along
Taking away her innocence
And leaving her desolate, in a sense.

Now she's got a story to tell
About how she survived her hell
But her spirit is torn
By other people's scorn.

So she wishes for a knife
And plans to take her life
Because all is lost
At the highest cost.
